(This summary is temporary while we research the case.) The U.S. Equal Employment Commission (EEOC) filed suit on behalf of an individual with disabilities against GMRI, the owner of Olive Garden, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. When the individual interviewed for a position with defendant, the general manager asked illegal questions about how "bad" his disability was and his use of a cane to walk. On April 9, 2024, EEOC announced that the parties had settled.
