Case Summary

(This summary is temporary, while we research the case.) This is a putative class action lawsuit filed on June 9, 2022, alleging that United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) was not properly allowing asylum seekers to get work authorizations because of the way USCIS calculated when asylum seekers were eligible for such authorizations while their asylum claims pended. The lawsuit came after a settlement in a similar lawsuit a decade before.
