In this lawsuit, man suffering from End Stage Renal Disease, and in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE"), was scheduled for release from detention through removal to Jamaica. He sued after the government refused to provide him with discharge planning for the period of time necessary for him to secure his own medical care after his release. The lawsuit was filed on January 19, 2025, and as of May 1, 2025, the Second Circuit had granted Plaintiff a temporary stay of removal.
