Plaintiff United States of America brought this action to enforce Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 42 U.S.C. §§ 12181–89, and its implementing regulation, 49 C.F.R. pt. 37, against Defendant Uber Technologies, Inc. Plaintiff alleges that Uber is aware of, but fails to prevent and remedy, disability-based discrimination throughout its transportation services. Uber does not adequately train its drivers and customer service representatives about their ADA obligations; monitor its drivers to prevent discrimination; or provide meaningful relief to people it has discriminated against.
