This case is about alleged employment discrimination.

On December 16, 2025, two former Black female employees, who worked as financial advisors, filed this lawsuit in the United States District Court of New York. The plaintiffs sued JPMorgan Chase & Co. and JPMorgan Securities LLC under 42 U.S.C. § 1981 retaliation claims, and New York state and local discrimination laws. Represented by Stowell & Friedman, Ltd., the plaintiffs alleged that the company had systematically discriminated against them due to their race and gender when it assigned them to less affluent areas, thus limiting their access to wealthy clients and commission opportunities. They claimed that while on maternity leave, Chase allowed male colleagues to "poach" their client accounts, and denied them resources like the Chase Private Client designation and prime office locations that were provided to white male financial advisors. The plaintiffs sought injunctive relief to enjoin the company from further discrimination, as well as declaratory relief, reinstatement, compensation for lost wages, attorneys' fees, and compensatory, punitive, and liquidated damages.

This case was assigned to Judge Arun Subramani.

As of April 8, 2026, this case is ongoing.
