On June 29, 2005, the Los Angeles office of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit under Title VII against Boeing Electron Dynamic Devices Inc., and L-3 Communications - Electron Technologies Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The EEOC alleged that the defendants had violated the constitutional rights of the complainant by discriminating against her in the workplace. We have only the docket in this case, so we have no further information on the specific allegations that were made.

On December 12, 2005, the case was referred to a mediator, but attempts to settle by that route failed. On December 24, 2006, the complainant intervened as a plaintiff in the lawsuit. On March 31, 2006, the defendants asked the district court to dismiss the plaintiff-intervenor's second and third causes of action, and the district court granted that request on April 24, 2006.

Shortly before the parties were scheduled to go to trial, the case settled during a settlement conference with the magistrate judge. On October 4, 2006, the parties notified the court that they had reached a confidential settlement (the terms of which we have no information), and the district court dismissed the case.
