Case Summary

The Seattle District Office of the EEOC brought this suit against Wild Tangent, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington in September 2002. The complaint alleged that the Defendant violated Title VII by retaliating against the complainant. The complaint and settlement decree indicate that the retaliation was based on sex discrimination. The complainant intervened in this suit, which was successfully settled in April 2003. The four year settlement agreement required the Defendant to pay $25,000 to the complainant in total damages; annually train its managers about sex discrimination and retaliation; post and distribute a notice about Title VII protection to employees; and maintain a complaint and investigation procedure.
