Case Summary

In September 2005, the EEOC district office in Miami, Florida brought this action against the Consolidated Resource Center and its Co-President as the alter ego of the company. The EEOC alleged that the defendant violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act when he subjected female employees to sexual touching, comments, advances, and subsequently retaliated against them for complaining and filing charges with the EEOC. After four of the women intervened as plaintiffs, the parties settled and a consent decree was entered in November 2006. The defendant agreed to pay the aggrieved females $180,000, refrain from retaliating and discriminating on the basis of sex, adopt an anti-discrimination policy, post an EEO notice, provide three hours of EEO training annually, and submit semiannual compliance/complaint reports to the EEOC. The terms of the decree run for two years. The docket sheet doesn't show any further enforcement took place; the case was presumably closed in 2008.
