In September 2006, the EEOC district office in Phoenix, Arizona brought this suit against Professional Transit Management, LTD, doing business as Springs Transit, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. One complainant intervened. The complaint states that the intervenor and at least five other people were subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Specifically, the complaint alleged that the defendant's managers and white employees said they would like to kill blacks, Hispanics, and Asians. Allegedly, the aforementioned comments were conveyed in front of managers and supervisory personnel. Nothing was done. The parties settled and a consent decree was entered in May 2007. In the consent decree, the parties agreed that the defendant would pay the class of six people $450,000, post EEO notices, appoint an EEO manager, provide EEO training, implement an EEO policy, and make semiannual compliance reports to the EEOC. The decree was to last for three years. The docket sheet doesn't show show any further enforcement took place; the case was presumably closed in 2010.
